Aksi Chris Hemsworth sebagai Thor akan muncul kembali melalui film Thor: Love and Thunder.
Film ini akan menjadi film Thor keempat di Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Masih dengan sutradara yang sama, yakni Taika Waititi.
Waititi kembali dipercaya setelah sempat menyutradari Thor: Ragnarok, film ketiga Thor pada 2017. Pada saat itu ia terbilang sukses memadukan antara aksi dan komedi di dalamnya.
Thor: Ragnarok tidak menghadirkan Jane Foster. Kekasih Thor di dua film sebelumnya, Thor (2012) dan Thor: The Dark World (2013).
Namun, karakter tersebut akan kembali hadir di Thor: Love and Thunder yang diperankan oleh Natalie Portman.
Kemunculan kembali Jane Foster membawa kejutan bagi para penggemarnya. Sebab, kali ini Jane Foster secara misterius menggunakan Mjolnir. Merupakan palu ajaib milik Thor yang sempat dihancurkan oleh kakak kandungnya, Hela.
Beberapa tokoh baru akan muncul di film Thor: Love and Thunder. Diantara adalah Gorr the God Butcher yang akan diperankan oleh Chistian Bale.

Thor: Love and Thunder berkisah tentang perjalanan Thor setelah memutuskan untuk pensiun.
Keputusan mengejutkan itu bisa ditemukan di film Avenger: End Game. Saat itu, Thor memberikan tahtanya kepada Valkyrie untuk memimpin Asgard.
Namun, masa pensiun Thor terganggu oleh sang penghancur galaksi yang dikenal sebagai Gorr the God Butcher.
Thor lalu meminta bantuan Raja Valkyrie, Korg, dan mantan kekasihnya Jane Foster. Untuk memerangi ancaman tersebut.
Bersama-sama, mereka memulai petualangan kosmik yang mengerikan. Untuk mengungkap misteri pembalasan Gorr dan menghentikannya sebelum terlambat.
